Duke hosts Wofford Thursday night, Duke’s last game before a long layoff.
With apologies to Churchill, I’m not sure if this is the end of the beginning or the beginning of the end or the beginning of the middle or something else entirely.
For the record it will be Duke’s first game since winning at Virginia Tech on December 6 and the last until hosting Brown on December 28, at 11:30 in the morning no less.
And it’s a non-conference game against a mid-major after ACC play has begun, something that will become a regular thing with the new 20-game conference schedule.
