DURHAM – Freshman James Tallon and sophomore Alex Mooney were named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams on Wednesday morning, as voted on by members of the America Baseball Coaches Association.
Tallon was named to the first team Atlantic All-Region as a relief pitcher, while Mooney was selected as a shortstop on the second team.
Tallon, a 6-foot-5 left-handed pitcher, has been the Blue Devils' closer this season, breaking the single season saves record on Friday afternoon in Charlottesville, Va., recording his 12th save of the season.
