- Duke moved to 4-2 overall on the year with a pair of wins from opposite ends of the spectrum. The No. 13 Blue Devils outlasted 20th-ranked Richmond 16-15 in overtime Friday night and then returned Sunday to roll past Furman 19-6.
- Sean Lowrie scored 1:12 into overtime to lift Duke to the win over the Spiders. It was a game of runs as Duke trailed 8-4 before taking a 14-10 lead after three periods. Richmond rallied to tie it at 14 and 15, but the Blue Devils had the final say.
