DURHAM, N.C. – Senior infielder and right-handed pitcher Matt Mervis has been named to the 2020 Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award (BBCSA) Watch List, announced Thursday afternoon.
The award, created by the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation, was open to nominations from all Division I baseball programs in the country, and awarded based on performance at the plate, academics and personal integrity. This year's watch list consists of 36 players representing 16 conferences around the country, including all power five conferences.
Mervis has gotten off to an impressive start in his senior campaign, leading the Blue Devils with a team-high six RBI and team-high tying nine total bases.
