There had been a lot of speculation regarding whether or not Matthew Hurt would be in a Duke uniform next season. There had been rumors he may look at the NBA or possibly even transfer. He put those rumors to rest and announced he will be back in Durham next year:
In his freshman season Hurt averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds per game but struggled to find consistency. There were four games in which he played less than ten minutes and didn’t score while he had his season high of 25 points against Boston College.
