Matthew Hurt Named Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week

Duke sophomore Matthew Hurt has been named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week as selected by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).

Hurt, who was also tapped the ACC Player of the Week, put up career numbers to lead the Blue Devils to conference wins against Boston College and Wake Forest last week. He averaged 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting a team-best .567 (17-of-30) from the field and .538 (7-of-13) from three-point range over the two games.

Hurt started the week by posting his second double-double of the season in the win over BC on Wednesday night, recording 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting to go with 11 rebounds.
