Marsh Places 10th at U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Senior Erin Marsh completed action for Duke track & field on Sunday evening, finishing 10th in a delayed day two of the heptathlon at the U.S. Olympic Trials at Hayward Field. Marsh finished with 5,839 points, placing third among all collegians in the field.

Marsh entered the day in ninth place with 3,637 points, aiming to gain ground in the first event of the day. Marsh was able to do just that in the long jump, moving into eighth place with a jump of 5.84m (19-2 feet) and registering 801 points to stand at 4,438 through five events.
