Marcus Stroman throws a gem in Colorado to pull Mets closer to Wild Card

The New York Mets seem to be a long-shot to make the National League Playoffs, but former Duke Blue Devil Marcus Stroman pushed them a little closer on Tuesday night.

Stroman tossed seven shutout innings in Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies, an extremely famous hitters ballpark.

In just 95 pitches, the former Blue Devil scattered four hits and walked just one while striking out seven in the Mets’ 6-1 victory.

The Mets used a four-run sixth inning to open the game up thanks to home runs from Amed Rosario, Brandon Nimmo, and Pete Alonso.
