DURHAM, N.C. – Senior Leona Maguire of the Duke women’s golf team was selected the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week, after helping lead the Blue Devils to their 21st ACC Championship in school history over the last three days at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center East Course in Greensboro, N.C.
Maguire, a product of Cavan, Ireland, also won her third ACC Individual title as she prevailed over teammate Jaravee Boonchant in three playoff holes. Over the three days, Maguire posted rounds of 67, 70 and 73 for a six-under-par, 210.
She joined only Duke standout Amanda Blumenherst as three-time ACC individual champions in league history.
