DURHAM, N.C.— The Duke University duo of Leona Maguire and Ana Belac are set to kick off action in the World Amateur Team Championship Sept. 14-17 at the Mayakoba El Camaleon Golf Club and the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Maguire, the No. 1 ranked amateur golfer in the world, will compete for the Espirito Santo Trophy for the third time in her career (2010 & 2012) with her home country of Ireland. She is coming off playing against the best golfers in the world at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
