Looking Back at an Historic Day at Augusta National

DURHAM, N.C.— A year ago today, Duke University women's golfers Jaravee Boonchant and Erica Shepherd made history. The Blue Devils were two of the first female golfers to play a competitive round at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., to conclude the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur.

"It was a lot of fun today with a lot of ups and downs," commented Boonchant after her round. "I was really trying to play hole-by-hole not think about too much, just stay in the present, which helped on a number of holes.
