Chris Collins finds himself in an unexpected situation: the former Duke player and assistant and now Northwestern coach is a key figure in a lawsuit filed by former Northwestern guard Johnnie Vassar.
Vassar claims that Northwestern tried to run him off and that when he didn’t do as they wanted, that Collins berated him in front of his team and that his transfer happened after "a campaign of harassment, pressure, and deception."
It’s not a nice story and certainly doesn’t reflect the genial and kind Collins we knew at Duke.
This will go on for a while as the case moves through the courts, so stay tuned.
