COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following its historic gold medal performance as 3x3 basketball made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games, USA Basketball announced on Monday the U.S. Olympic 3x3 Women's Basketball Team, which was led by Duke head coach Kara Lawson, will be honored as the 2021 USA Basketball 3x3 Team of the Year.
While USA Basketball has been recognizing a Team of the Year annually since 1996, 2021 will mark the first time USA Basketball honors a 3x3 Team of the Year.
The U.S. Olympic 3x3 Team included Stefanie Dolson, Allisha Gray, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young as well as Lawson, the head coach.
