COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Duke women's basketball head coach Kara Lawson has been announced as an assistant coach for the 2022 USA Basketball Women's National Team that will compete at the 2022 FIBA Women's World Cup, as announced by the organization Thursday afternoon.
Selected by the USA Basketball Women's National Team Committee, Lawson joins Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics) and Joni Taylor (Texas A&M) as assistants on head coach Cheryl Reeve's (Minnesota Lynx) staff.
"Over the last 25 years, every minute I've spent working with USA Basketball has been an absolute joy," Lawson said.
