We know at this point that as long as Tony Bennett is at Virginia the Cavaliers are going to be a tough out. He’s a brilliant coach and he’s built a program that can last for a long time.
That said, now that Kyle Guy has declared for the NBA Draft, he’s lost the three best players on a national championship team (Ty Jerome and De’Andre Hunter have also announced their departure).
Virginia will be difficult to deal with as always, but the chances of a repeat championship, tough for any team in any season, just took a major hit.
