DURHAM, N.C. – When Duke volleyball juniors Anna Kropf and Emma Paradiso discovered the chance to study abroad during Italian class, both jumped at the opportunity to take part in the inaugural Duke in Bologna program May 11 to June 20.
“I learned of the program through my Italian class and I thought there would never be a more interesting way to take classes about Italian culture,” said Kropf. “I owe this opportunity definitely to Brad Berndt as well as my coaches and the rest of Duke Athletics for their willingness and eagerness to support study abroad.
