DURHAM – Graduate student Jameson Kavel has been tabbed as the ACC Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Kavel becomes the third Blue Devil in four weeks to receive the award, joining Caroline Jacobsen (week one) and Rachel Crabtree (week three). The Blue Devils have blown past the program record for most in a single season this year, with all three earning the award for the first time in their careers.
A native of Duluth, Ga., Kavel made her return to the Atlanta area count, playing a key role in the ACC-opening weekend sweep of Georgia Tech.
