OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Duke softball graduate student Jameson Kavel has been selected as a top-25 finalist for the 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, as the organization announced on Wednesday.
Kavel joins Deja Davis as the only players in program history to be named to the exclusive list, with Davis being named to the 2021 list.
The Duluth, Ga., native is off to the best start of her career, hitting .436 with 15 home runs, 42 RBI and 14 doubles, while stealing six bases.
