DURHAM, N.C. – Softball senior Jameson Kavel and men's lacrosse graduate student Michael Sowers have been selected Duke's PNC Achiever's Student-Athletes of the Week after their grand performances led the Blue Devils to victories this past week.
Putting together a 6-for-15 performance with two home runs and seven RBIs, Kavel led the Blue Devils to a series sweep over North Carolina, including the first series win in program history against the Tar Heels, this past weekend. She tallied two multi-hit games in the series, including a 3-for-4 day on Sunday with three RBIs.
