DURHAM – Duke women's soccer junior Sophie Jones added two more preseason accolades to her growing collection this week, as she was tapped to the College Soccer News Preseason All-America Second Team on Wednesday and was included on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List released Thursday.
A third-team All-America pick by College Soccer News in 2020-21, Jones enters her junior campaign with multiple other preseason awards that include Preseason All-ACC and TopDrawerSoccer.com Preseason Best XI honors. The Menlo Park, Calif., native emerged as one of the nation's top midfielders last season, scoring three goals over a five-game stretch during the spring and serving three assists in 21 starts.
