DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt junior quarterback Daniel Jones has been selected to the preseason watch list for the Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The annual honor is presented to the top quarterback in country following bowl season.
Last month Jones was named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, presented to the college player of the year by the Maxwell Football Club, and the Davey O’Brien Award, given annually to the nation’s top quarterback by the Davey O’Brien Foundation. Jones, who was named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List on Tuesday, has also earned a spot on Phil Steele’s College Football Preview’s preseason All-ACC third team.
