DURHAM – Following a team vote this week, the trio of Emmy Duerr, Ruthie Jones and Sophie Jones have been tabbed Duke women's soccer team captains for the 2022 campaign, as announced by head coach Robbie Church on Saturday.
"I felt our leadership group this spring and going into this summer has really been phenomenal," said Church. "From that leadership group, we have voted our three captains in Emmy, Ruthie and Sophie. We are very, very proud of them and I think they will do a fantastic job of being leaders along with the other seniors and graduate players we have in our program.
