Legendary Auburn basketball head coach Bruce Pearl has shockingly announced his retirement just over a month before the 2025-26 college basketball season begins. Now, Jon Scheyer and the Duke program should do everything in their power to get Auburn guard Tahaad Pettiford over to Durham. Pearl's son, Steven Pearl, is set to take over as the next head coach of the Tigers, but with Pearl's sudden retirement, the 30-day transfer portal window for all Auburn players is now open. Pettiford is a star and may look elsewhere given the new staff. Scheyer, one of the best recruiters in college hoops, should do anything and everything that he can to get the sophomore to Duke before the season begins.
