A lot of people think that Jon Scheyer shows enough potential as a coach that he could eventually replace Mike Krzyzewski at Duke’s head coach whenever he decides to step down.
He’ll get a chance to make a case for that as he’s been appointed the US coach for the 2022 Maccabiah games.
The Maccabiah games are a global competition for Jewish athletes.
As far as we can remember, Duke’s last participant in the Games was Bob Fleisher in the early ‘70s.
For his part, Scheyer says that “I am honored to represent the United States in the Maccabiah.
