If You Want An Early Candidate For ACC Player Of The Year, Consider UVA’s Ty Jerome

When Virginia lost London Perrantes to graduation it seemed, on balance, like a good thing for the rest of the ACC. We didn’t think Tony Bennett had another point guard who could possibly do what Perrantes did. He was nearly perfect for that team.

Well we were sort of right.

He didn’t have a player as good as Perrantes. He had one better in Ty Jerome.

When we watched him in person last year at Cameron, we noticed a few things about that guy quickly.

First, he’s brilliant at controlling the pace for Virginia, which is obviously key.
