NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation has named Duke redshirt junior linebacker Shaka Heyward to the 2021 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List.
Heyward is one of 42 student-athlete nominated for the 18th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy, which honors the top defensive player in college football who makes the biggest impact for his team, both on and off the field.
In 27 career games (17 starts), Heyward has 148 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, one interception, three fumble recoveries and six quarterback pressures. He has posted six-plus tackles in 14 career games and has earned double-digit tackles on five different occasions.
