DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt junior Brooke Heinsohn was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District III Second Team Thursday, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.
A native of Norfolk, Mass., Heinsohn has anchored the Duke defense this season as the team's primary goalkeeper. Across her career, she has posted 16 solo shutouts, including five this season. Last season, she notched 10 solo shutouts, which places her fourth in Duke history for most goalie shutouts in a single season.
This year, Heinsohn recorded three consecutive shutouts—all coming against ranked opponents, including two of the nation's top three teams in Virginia and North Carolina.
