Heflin, Lee Set for Action This Week on the Course

DURHAM – A pair of Duke women's golfers will compete this week in two different tournaments as junior Rylie Heflin and freshman Katie Li tee it up in the Women's Western Amateur and the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, respectively.

Heflin, who hails from Avondale, Pa., will travel to Naperville, Ill., to see action in the 123rd Women's Western Amateur Championship at the White Eagle Golf Club. A maximum of 120 golfers will compete with 36 holes of stroke play qualifying July 18-19 with the top-32 heading to match play July 20-22.

Duke has three different alumnae that have taken home the Women's Western Amateur – Sarah LeBrun Ingram (1991), Stephanie Sparks (1993) and Brittany Lang (2003).
