DURHAM, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its annual regional awards Monday, naming Duke women’s tennis head coach Jamie Ashworth the Carolina Region Wilson/ITA Coach of the Year, Kelly Chen the Carolina Region ITA Rookie of the Year and Samantha Harris both the ITA Most Improved Senior and ITA Senior Player of the Year.
Ashworth adds another award after being named ACC Coach of the Year earlier this month. It is the sixth regional coach of the year honor of his career and the first since 2014.
