Harding to Open Olympic Play Saturday with Belarus

DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke University National Player of the Year Lindsey Harding will make her Olympic debut Saturday, Aug. 6 with Belarus as the squad competes in Group A during preliminary round action in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Harding, a product of Houston, Texas, qualified for the Olympics with Belarus and is the first Duke women’s basketball alumna to compete in the Olympics. Belarus will face Japan, France, Brazil, Turkey and Australia in group play from Aug. 6-13.

The contest against Japan Aug. 6 will take place at 6:45 p.m., in Rio de Janeiro in the Youth Arena.
