DURHAM – Graduate student Lexi Gordon netted a season-best 23 points and freshman Shayeann Day-Wilson added 22 to lead the Duke women's basketball team to a thrilling, 81-76, win over Wake Forest Sunday evening at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Gordon and Day-Wilson poured it on in the second half as the duo notched 17 and 13 points, respectively and combined for all but 15 Blue Devil points after halftime. They also tied senior Onome Akinbode-James for a team-high five rebounds, while senior Miela Goodchild led the way with four assists.
