DURHAM, N.C. – Australia has announced its Gems squad that will represent the country at the FIBA Under-18 Asia Championships with Duke University incoming freshman Miela Goodchild one of 18 selected. The championship will be held in Bengaluru, India from Oct. 28 through Nov. 3.
The Games will look to finish in the top four to advance to the 2019 Under-19 World Cup.
Goodchild, a 5-10 combo guard, is a two-time Basketball Queensland Player of the Year and Logan Basketball Junior Player of the Year. She competed in the 2018 U20 Australian Nationals averaging a tournament-best 19.
