DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt junior linebacker Joe Giles-Harris was named to the preseason watch list for the Dick Butkus Award as one of the nation’s top linebackers entering the 2018 season. He is the first Duke linebacker to be on the preseason watch list since Kelby Brown in 2014.
Heading into this fall, Giles-Harris (1,688) is one of Duke’s four defensive players with 1,200 or more career snaps played, joining Ben Humphreys (1,934), Jeremy McDuffie (1,302) and Mark Gilbert (1,262).
