DURHAM, N.C. – Defensive backs Mark Gilbert and Jacob Morgenstern have signed scholarship agreements to enroll at Duke University in January, 2016, upon completion of their respective high school degrees, as members of the Blue Devil football program.
Gilbert is a 6-2, 170-pound native of Fayetteville, N.C., where he attends Terry Sanford High School. A four-year letterwinner for coach Bryan Till, Gilbert has helped Terry Sanford to a 10-1 record and the No. 1 seed in the east for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 3-AA state playoffs this fall. In 2015, he has totaled 45 tackles, one interception and a trio of kickoff return touchdowns.
