DURHAM, N.C.— Four members of the Duke women's golf program were slated to kick off the 2020 Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA) today, prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Senior Ana Belac, junior Jaravee Boonchant, sophomore Gina Kim and freshman Erica Shepherd all had accepted invitations.
It marked the second straight year of the prestigious event located at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. All four Blue Devils were set to make their second consecutive appearance in the amateur tournament.
The four Duke student-athletes that accepted invitations was tied for the second-most in the field.
