DURHAM, N.C. – With the 2019 United States Amateur Championship rapidly approaching, four Duke men’s golfers have already clinched spots at iconic Pinehurst Resort August 12-18 in Pinehurst, N.C.
For the Blue Devils, rising senior Chandler Eaton and recent graduate Alex Smalley earned exemptions into the championship, while rising senior Steven DiLisio and rising junior Evan Katz clinched a spot in the field of 312 by way of sectional qualifiers.
DiLisio fired rounds of 66 and 67 at the sectional qualifier at the Longmeadow Country Club in Longmeadow, Mass, on Monday.
