DURHAM - Duke men's soccer's forward, and ACC Offensive Player of the Year, Forster Ajago is a 2023 MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, the United Soccer Coaches (USC) and Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) announced on Wednesday.
Given to the top player in men's and women's NCAA Division I soccer, the MAC Hermann Trophy has been awarded annually since 1967. Ajago is one of 15 semifinalists, with three finalists set to be named on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
Ajago is the fourth Blue Devil to be named a semifinalist for the award in the last three seasons, joining Thorleifur Ulfarsson (2021), Shakur Mohammed (2022) and Peter Stroud (2022).
