The San Francisco 49ers recently announced that they have signed Duke alum Thaddeus Lewis to a new 1 year deal. The former Blue Devil will be brought as a back-up quarterback on the roster for the team next season.
Since going undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft, Thad Lewis has found a way to stick in the NFL as a reliable reserve QB. He has spent time playing for the St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and most recently the Philadelphia Eagles this past season. For his NFL career he’s appeared in 7 games and totaled 1,296 passing yards completing 60.
