DURHAM – Duke Baseball (4-2) scored 20-plus runs for the second consecutive game against a Division I opponent for the first time in program history, defeating Baylor (2-4), 22-3, on Saturday at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Blue Devils clinched back-to-back series wins for the first time since 2020 to open the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Baylor opened the scoring with two outs in the top of the first, on a RBI triple to right center field, 1-0.
  • The Bears added to their lead in the top of the third inning, extending the score to 2-0 on a groundout to shortstop.
