ATLANTA – Duke head coach Mike Elko has been selected as The Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week, presented by PNC Bank, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week award honors a football coach who led his team to a significant victory during the previous week, while also embodying the award's three pillars of scholarship, leadership and integrity.
Elko's Blue Devils earned a 28-7 victory over No. 9 Clemson on Monday night at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. He led Duke to the program's first win over an AP top-10 team since 1989 and snapped Clemson's 12-game winning streak in ACC play.
