Durant Sets Single-Season Rushing Record Against Miami

DURHAM – Senior running back Mataeo Durant broke a 49-year program record on Saturday, but it wasn't enough for Duke as the Blue Devils fell to Miami, 47-10, at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Durant set the school record with 1,241 rushing yards on the year after finishing with 68 yards in Saturday's contest. His achievement broke Steve Jones' record of 1,236 rushing yards during the 1972 season. Durant also finished the year third in rushing attempts in a single season with 255.

The Blue Devils took the game's opening drive and converted on a 40-yard field goal for an early 3-0 edge.
