DURHAM, N.C. – As the Duke women's lacrosse team prepares to take the field for their first fall competition this weekend, the talent of the Blue Devils' newest class will be on display. Duke's freshman class was ranked No. 6 in the country Tuesday in Inside Lacrosse's 2019 Recruiting Issue.
Seven Blue Devil rookies were named to the 2019 ILWomen Power 100 Incoming Freshman list, also released by the organization Tuesday.
Midfielder Lexi Schmalz of Needham, Mass., was ranked 19th among the nation's incoming freshmen to lead Duke's contingent on the list.
