The Duke football program will be without star returning safety Terry Moore for a good portion of the regular season after Moore suffered a torn ACL during the Blue Devils' final game of the 2024 season, the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, against No. 14 Ole Miss. However, this could pave the way for Caleb Weaver, one of Duke head coach Manny Diaz's defensive additions in this past transfer portal cycle, to break out onto the college football scene.
"In terms of Terry, we knew we wouldn't have him for the first part of the year," Diaz said during his media availability on August 4th.
