DURHAM – Strong pitching down the stretch and a three-run sixth inning lifted the Duke baseball team past NC State, 7-4, on Senior Day Sunday afternoon at Jack Coombs Field.
Duke (21-29, 10-17 ACC) out-hit NC State (32-17, 14-12 ACC) 10-6 and struck out 10 NC State batters to just three Duke strikeouts offensively. The Blue Devils scored the final six runs of the game to take the victory.
