All of us would tend to look down the schedule, see 1-5 coming in to Cameron and a brand new D-I team and just think, well, that’s cannon fodder. Those guys are going to get killed. That emphatically did not happen Friday night with Southern Indiana, which might be the best 1-5 team we’ve ever seen.
The Screaming Eagles came into one of the toughest environments in the country and played with discipline, composure and guts. We respect that team immensely.
In the first half, Southern Indiana really outplayed Duke, going up 10 at halftime.
