DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Athletics is proud to host events on Saturday, February 23 for its inaugural National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) to join the effort toward equal access and opportunity for women and girls in sports. All support will help fund scholarships for Duke female student-athletes for years to come.
“Duke Athletics is extremely excited, not to mention proud, to host its inaugural celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day this upcoming February 23rd,” Director of Athletics Kevin White said. “To be sure, we look forward to engaging the Durham community and empowering local youth in order to show the positive influence of sport across all ages and genders.
