BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Duke women's basketball team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end Thursday on the road in Blacksburg, Va., as the Blue Devils dropped a 70-56 decision to Virginia Tech in Cassell Coliseum.
Senior Leaonna Odom led the Blue Devils (17-11, 11-6 ACC) with 16 points, while graduate Haley Gorecki added 13, five assists and three steals. Graduate Kyra Lambert tied a season high with 13 points and pulled down six boards.
After turning the ball over only eight times in the last outing, Duke struggled holding on to the ball in the first quarter committing seven turnovers.
