DURHAM – Head Coach Megan Cooke Carcagno and the Duke rowing program are pleased to announce the signing of Sophie Gower, who will compete for the Blue Devils in the 2022-23 season.
Gower, a native of Tsawwassen, British Columbia, currently attends South Delta Secondary School while competing for the Thunder Rowing Club. She was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team this past year, helping the junior women's four place seventh at the 2021 World Rowing Junior Championships. Gower was also designated by Rowing Canada Aviron as a NextGen Hub athlete, a high performance program designed to train rowers to compete for their country at the highest levels of the sport.
