For the second consecutive year, the Duke Blue Devils improved its preseason Associated Press Top-25 Poll ranking as the first regular season edition of the poll was released on Monday afternoon.
Duke entered the season at No. 4 and defeated then No. 3 Kansas on Tuesday night in the Champions Classic, 68-66. The Blue Devils trailed as many as nine points in the second half before rallying for an invigorating comeback.
The Blue Devils then followed their opening night victory with a domination in the home opener at Cameron Indoor Stadium over the Colorado State Rams, winning 89-55.
