One of the complete unknowns about hiring Kara Lawson, who had never coached college basketball, was how well she might recruit.
Well check that one off: Lawson is doing just fine as a recruiter, thank you very much.
Her latest commitment is from 5-10 Texan Ashlon Jackson. Pegged as a Top 25 recruit, Jackson is in the class of 2022, barring a reclassification, and will join 6-3 Shay Bollin of Bridgewater, Mass., and 5-10 Canadian Emma Koabel.
And for next year, Lawson has commitments from 5-11 Lee Volker from Purcellville, Virginia, and Louisville transfer Nyah Green who, like Jackson, is from Texas, in her case Allen.
